A message to school counsellors from U of Alberta Admissions:
The University of Alberta has suspended all travel and in-person recruitment events, Campus Tours, and Residence Tours until further notice as a result of COVID-19.
Admissions-related adjustments have also been made for Fall 2020, including:
- Offer acceptance deadline extended to June 1, 2020
- Acceptance of high school marks as presented on final transcripts
- English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirement adjustments

Feature Program: Faculty of Law
The Summer Law Internship at Bielefeld University, Germany is a fantastic opportunity for University of Alberta Faculty of Law students to gain experience and insight into how the law works outside of Canada. A small program, the internship is personalized to the students’ interests and brings global perspectives from other attendees who come from around the world.

Out of Province Student Loans 101

Residence Guaranteed Housing Deadline Extended
Any incoming high school student who applies for first year residence by June 1 will be guaranteed a spot for the upcoming school year. The residence deposit deadline has also been extended to July 1. Applications are available at
uab.ca/residence.
ELP Test Scores Reminder
The document deadline is August 1. Students planning on taking the Duolingo, IELTS, or TOEFL test are advised to schedule it in advance to allow the results to be reported to the University of Alberta before the deadline. If students have results from a recent
test, we recommend submitting now to get ahead on the assessment. Learn more at

Alberta Guaranteed Admission
The Alberta Guaranteed Admission (AGA) program is offered to high school students who complete their Bachelor of Commerce pre-professional studies at the University of Alberta in the 2020-2021 academic year. Students who meet all AGA requirements are guaranteed
a space in the Bachelor of Commerce program for Fall 2021. The deadline to apply is August 1. Learn more at

New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation will take place on August 31, and registration is now open! Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, final details and information regarding Orientation will continue to evolve. Once registered, students are encouraged to frequently check
their orientation schedule and email for updates.
