The UVic Student Recruitment team is busy transitioning into the time of year when we support our applicants in their journey to becoming a UVic student.  There are many upcoming events for applicants and admitted students to participate in which will support their next steps. 

Important dates 

·       Deadline to apply for Specific criteria scholarship application: April 30^th

·       Deadline to submit Housing application: May 1^st

·       Deadline to accept an offer of admission: May 1^st

·       Deadline to complete online courses: June 30^th

Student Advising Appointments

UVic’s Academic Advising team will be happy to book appointments with newly admitted students as of May 1st. Your students can find all the contact information for their advising team on our website. Students are encouraged to book an appointment during the month of May or early June so that they are fully aware of their options, and degree requirements, before registration for coursework begins in mid-June.

Registration 101

Our team will be offering a 2-part webinar series on how to prepare for course registration to new students. The webinars will range from 30-60 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session. Adulting 101: personal finance for students planning for college & university

Gustavson School of Business is hosting a personal finance workshops for all new students on May 17 and 18.  Registration is required for the event.  You will also find a poster attached to help promote the session in your school.

PSBC Virtual Event

Are your Grade 10 and 11 students asking questions about post-secondary?  The PSBC crew is hosting a virtual event on May 10 that will be a great opportunity for students to begin exploring their options for post-secondary.  The event will run from 9:00am-3:00pm as well as 6:00-8:00pm on May 10.  The event will be run fair-style with no set presentation times.  Students and parents can attend throughout the scheduled times to chat with representatives from 22 BC post-secondary institutions. .
