The Presidential Scholars Award program recognizes exceptional students for their academic and non-academic achievements with awards of up to $80,000. Students who apply by December 1, 2020 will be automatically considered.
The UBC Centennial Scholars Entrance Award improves access to post-secondary education for exceptional students who face significant financial barriers with awards of up to $80,000. Applicants must submit an application to UBC undergraduate program by December 1st, 2020. A separate application is required for this award which will be open from November 1 to December 1, 2020.
The Tuum Est Experiential Award presents outstanding students attending the UBC Okanagan campus with up to $3,500 to support their participation in experiential learning opportunities. Students who apply to UBC by December 1, 2020 will be automatically considered for this award based on their academic and personal profiles.
A number of Presidential Scholars Awards and Centennial Scholars Entrance Awards are designated specifically for Indigenous students. Applicants can self-identify as Indigenous in their online application to UBC.
International undergraduate entrance scholarships
UBC also recognizes the achievements of outstanding students from around the world by devoting non-public funds to scholarships and awards for international students. All eligible candidates who apply to UBC by January 15, 2021 will be automatically considered for an entrance award, however there are other awards international students may be eligible to apply for (more details at link above).
Tuition waiver for youth in care
The BC provincial government and UBC offer tuition waivers for eligible youth who are aging out of care. Students can identify as a current or former youth in care in their online application to UBC.
Virtual tours for Counsellors
From October 19 to November 6 there will be six counsellor-specific tours for both campuses - three for the Okanagan campus and three for the Vancouver campus. Sign into your accountto register for a tour at a time that works best for you.
Discover UBC's Okanagan Campus
We are hosting three events titled "Discover UBC's Okanagan Campus". These sessions will illustrate what makes our Okanagan campus unique and why its degree options and student life might be the right fit for your students. During this hour-long presentation, current students will share their stories and advisors will walk participants through the application and admission process.
