Admissions Updates

Important Dates

Here are some key dates we want you to be aware of:

  • OUAC application opens: Late September
  • National Scholarship nomination period: September 3 to October 10
  • Pearson Scholarship nomination period: July 1 to October 11
  • U of T application date for early consideration: November 7
  • U of T winter break: December 24-January 3
  • Final application deadline: January 15

Application Date

Prospective undergraduate students are encouraged to apply by November 7. We understand that fall and winter can be busy, so applying early gives students enough time to complete all the necessary steps in the application process and qualify for early consideration. Students who submit their application by November 7—and complete the required next steps on their applicant portal by December 2—will be eligible to be considered in the first round of admission decisions.

Please note: Not all program areas will make admission decisions in the first admission round, and applying by November 7 does not guarantee an applicant will receive an admission decision in the first admission round.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Changes to the National and Pearson Scholarships

The National Scholarship and the Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarship continue to be the University's most prestigious award for incoming undergraduate students. For 2024-25, these Scholarship program will see some changes.

  • For the National Scholarship, we will now be accepting nominations for the from schools from September 3 to October 10.
  • For the Pearson Scholarship, the school nomination period will run from July 1 to October 11. Nominated students should plan to submit their application to the University by November 7.
  • We anticipate that National Scholarship finalists will be interviewed in late January, with decisions made a few weeks after that; and we anticipate that successful Pearson Scholars will be notified in early 2025.

These changes are in response to the changing student landscape and will better align with admission cycles.
