CapU Squamish students will have a guaranteed spot in our student housing facilities for Fall 2024! Today, we are celebrating an exciting milestone in our CapU Squamish preparations: the acquisition of three on-campus student housing buildings. Since purchasing the campus in August 2023, we have been working hard to secure student housing. Today’s announcement means that any student who enrolls in CapU Squamish for the 2024 Fall term will have a guaranteed option to live on campus. This is significant because the Squamish region is experiencing some of the province’s most severe housing pressures. For students, living on campus will add to their distinct university experience. They will be in the heart of the beautiful 18-acre campus and steps away from our academic, dining, and recreation facilities. The purchase was made possible through a $48 million contribution by the Ministry of Post Secondary Education and Future Skills. Applications for CapU Squamish student housing will open on June 3. |
