We pride ourselves on the culinary creations served from our kitchen and are looking for an experienced and passionate cook to lead our team in Sidney Care. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in a long-term care setting and can give direction and run a full-scope kitchen. Shifts: Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Pay: $26.51 / hour
What does a Cook do in a Long-Term Care Facility?
- Work with the Dietitian to prepare appropriate menus for the residents
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Request feedback from the residents about food preferences and menu development
- Maintain a positive attitude and resident focus
- Prepare specialized and textured diets
- 2+ years' experience working in a care home, hotel/club kitchen
- Experience in preparing specialized and textured diets
- Food Safe certificate
- Proof of Vaccination
