The Greater Victoria Green Team is excited to announce their upcoming activities happening across the Greater Victoria region throughout the month of July. These are fun-filled, accessible hands-on activities for students to participate in as they start their summer break!
Working in collaboration with municipal parks and stewardship groups, learn about invasive and native species. Improve your own health, as well as that of local ecosystems by removing invasive plants and spending time being active in nature. These activities are a great opportunity for youth and families to spend time together outside over the summer and contribute to a positive initiative in their community. They are happy to sign off on volunteer hours for students who participate in these activities.
No experience is needed—all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are welcome! Tools, training, and yummy snacks will be provided for all volunteers. We will also be giving out small thank you gifts for participants to take home.
