The first annual Island Ignite Camp for female youth is happening this summer in Victoria July 7-9th. Our camp is based on the very successful Camp Ignite on the Lower Mainland but more accessible to those on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
This Camp is an amazing mentorship opportunity for any young women, regardless if they are interested in a career in emergency services. The program focuses on challenging our participants with team building activities and fireground tasks, but they are set up for success and mentored by an amazing group of volunteers from across the fire service. They leave feeling empowered and inspired.
Our program is open to 15-18 years old students who identify as female and is free of charge to attend. We are accepting applications until May 1st. Applications are available on our website - www.islandignite.com
