The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) is excited about the next generation of creative thinkers and makers. As you determine your best educational fit, we would like to remind you that SAIC is test-optional* for Fall 2023 admission.

We will be available in-person and virtually to provide you with the application and portfolio advising that feels most comfortable for you. We would also like to encourage you to visit our campus in-person or virtually for tours and portfolio review appointments. Visit saic.edu/ugevents for details.

Recipients are selected through a holistic review of each student's artistic and academic history. Early College Program Summer Institute

 

Merit Scholarship Deadline: March 1
In-person and online options available! →

Whether students choose in-person or online options, they will work with our highly acclaimed faculty of artists and designers, create portfolio-quality work, deepen their understanding of contemporary art making, and earn college credit. Merit scholarship and need-based financial aid are available.

 

One-on-One Virtual Portfolio Reviews

 

Appointments now open through May at saic.edu/ugvirtualreview

Having work reviewed is a great way for students to get advice prior to submitting their application and portfolio for the final application deadline of April 15. During these 30-45 minute virtual sessions, our team will provide valuable feedback on their work for both admission and merit scholarship consideration. Sketchbooks, finished pieces, and questions should be prepared.

 

Early College Program for Summer

Credit and non-credit options are available and provide an excellent opportunity for your students to craft their portfolios. They will experience dynamic demos, engage with peers and have one-on-one time with our acclaimed faculty.
