UBC Future Global Leaders is an exciting pre-university program, offered online and in-person, for high school students ages 15–18.

The program allows students to try an academic course taught by UBC professors and instructors, get a taste of life at a top-tier university, and prepare to succeed beyond high school. Courses are delivered either in-person or online, and are offered in the fall, spring, and summer.
Bursaries for Students*
Grade 11 students who would like to apply for UBC President Bursary funding must live in BC. Students are encouraged to learn more about the bursary application process here:
*Limited bursaries are also available for students who self-identify as Black and currently live anywhere in Canada. Please see the Updates for Black Students section, below.

Bursaries for Black Students Interested in the Future Global Leaders Program
As another way of supporting Black youth, we have availability to provide a bursary for a limited number of students to participate in the Future Global Leaders program for FREE.

Application deadline for the fall 2022 program (online): September 7

Funded spots are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. Interested students must email Melissa and/or Amandus to apply (contact details are below)
UBC’s new award program supports undergraduate Black Canadian students applying to both campuses. There are a number of award categories based on student need. Some are one-time and some are renewable up to $80,000. In addition to the financial assistance, scholars will be supported with a range of programming dedicated to student success.

To be considered for this award, applicants need to submit their UBC application and complete the Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Award application by December 1st.

Student information session: October 25 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm PT

Please note that selective aspects of this programming will be open to all Black students, and not just limited to award recipients.
