Happy Spring! I hope you were able to take some time over the break to relax, rest and rejuvenate.
Important dates:
- Specific criteria scholarship application window: Deadline is April 30
- Housing application window: Deadline is May 1
- Accepting an offer of admission: Deadline is May 1 (unless otherwise stated in their admission offer)
- Completion of online courses: Deadline is June 30
1. NEW - Grades-based Entrance Scholarships: The Student Awards and Financial Aid (SAFA) office has sent out Entrance Scholarship offers to students who are eligible. Please note that award recipients have two weeks to accept their offer (deadline is included in the awards offer). SAFA will not be reinstating award offers that are not accepted by the deadline with the exception of students who received an Early Scholars offer in Nov/Dec. Please remind your students to watch their email (including junk folder) for UVic communications.
2. Discover UVic events for your grade 10 and 11 students. While the Next Steps events are designed for your grade 12 applicants, we’ll host Discover UVic Information sessions for your grade 10 and 11 students getting a head start on their university research. Registration is open now for our April 5, 22 and May 11 presentations
3. Registration 101 events for your graduating grade 12 students: Our team of recruiters will be offering presentations to new students on how to prepare for course registration. This session is highly recommended for all new students as there have been some changes with the interface and the functionality of the course registration system. Registration for these presentations will open this week!
