Hello Spring!

Select programs remain open for application at OUAC.  

• We still have some programs that are accepting applications via OUAC. Should you have students wishing to explore their options, encourage them to review OUAC. 

Offers of Admission 

• We continue to extend offers of admission to all programs on a rolling basis. We expect all admission decisions to be made and communicated by mid-May.  

• Document deadline for first year, full-time applicants that have been asked for additional documentation to complete their application(s). This may include English Facility test scores; and/or updated transcript(s) as a few examples. Please encourage your students to review their SOLUS ‘to do’ list; any documents they are still required to submit will be listed there. 
• Audition deadline for applicants to our Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Music Theatre program.

• Deadline for response to offers of admission for students not attending high schools in Ontario.

Conditional Offers of Admission:  

• All offers of admission made prior to a student graduating from high school are conditional. The conditions for each program may vary and will be outlined for that specific program in each offer of admission. We encourage all students to read their specific offer of admission carefully to ensure the conditions of offer will be attained. 

Multiple Applications – Multiple Offers: 

• Students who apply for multiple programs at Queen’s may receive multiple offers of admission – those offers may be made at various points throughout the admission cycle and each program will have specific offer conditions. 
• If a student accepts an offer to attend Queen’s, we will continue reviewing any of their pending application(s) on an ongoing basis until the middle of May. 

Accepting an Offer at OUAC: 

• Applicants who apply to Queen’s through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) application must accept their offer of admission via OUAC.
  • For students studying full time in Ontario curriculum schools, there is information and helpful tutorials available here. 
  • For all other students, tutorials can be found here. 

Residence Guarantee:  

• We are pleased to confirm a return to our residence guarantee for all first year, full-time, first entry students who complete the residence application process by the June 8th deadline. To qualify for the guarantee, the student’s residence application and deposit must be received at Queen’s by June 8.

Admission Bursary: 

• Students who submit an Admission Bursary Application are automatically considered for all admission awards and bursaries. An admission bursary is based on assessment of financial need. Although the February 15, 2022, Admission Bursary application deadline has passed, we will continue to accept applications.  More information can be found here. 

Automatic Admission Scholarships: 

• Students who apply for admission to Queen’s are automatically considered for grade-based admission scholarships.  More on consideration and awards here. 

External Awards: 

• There are several scholarship databases that feature various external scholarship offers for post-secondary students from various employers/organizations.  More information can be found here. Encourage your students to explore Government Student Aid – more information can be found here.
