  • 30-Hour Work Experience for GT Overview

Graduation Transitions (GT) is a grade 12 compulsory course that all students must complete as a graduation requirement.  In Saanich the course is largely self directed by the students. There are several key components to the course that must all be satisfactorily completed to get credit for the course, and therefore meet this aspect of graduation requirements.

The key elements are as follows:

    • Daily Physical Activity (DPA) Log

    • Budget

    • Questions

    • Resume

    • Cover Letter

    • Exit Interview

    • 30-Hours Work Experience

The 30-Hour Work Experience requirement may be paid or unpaid.  It may also be counted retroactively.  Evidence of the work experience must be documented on a log sheet and be signed by the student’s supervisor.

Students must visit their home school webpage, or visit the teacher in charge of GT at their home school, to get the school specific log sheet and to determine the exact steps and processes that must be followed at their school to satisfy all of the criteria.
