A message to school counsellors from Zahida Machan, Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator, LGV:

Dear Educator,

As you are likely well aware, the Canadian government’s current advisory is to avoid all non-essential travel outside of Canada until further notice. Regardless of this, we know that students are still eager to explore the possibilities of what lies ahead for them when they finish grade 12.

The summer of 2021 is long way away yet, and while programming is on hold for Canadians right this moment, we anticipate that this is only temporary. We are accepting applications and moving ahead with interviews, so students are on the ready to pursue their plans when travel resumes again. They can choose to apply as a way to keeping doors open as they explore all post-secondary options ahead of them. We remain very optimistic that an international gap year can be a reality for your students and we believe it's important for them to dream about what may be!

We have created a digital package for schools that you can use at your own pace. I believe it will include everything you would need to share the value of a gap year and options through Lattitude available to your students. This includes a pre-recorded presentation, testimonials, a digital brochure, and a reflection activity. You can find all the materials here online on this interactive PDF: Lattitude Digital Gap Year Info Pack

I look forward to hearing from you.

 In health,

Zahida Machan
