Canucks Autism Network provides year-round sports and recreation programs for individuals with autism.  Their volunteers work in a fun and fast-paced sports and recreation environment offering high levels of support to their participants (most programs offer 1-1 support). Volunteers do not need any prior experience to be part of their programs – a training session as well as hands-on training during the program will be provided.

A number of different sports, social, recreation, and other programs are run in Victoria. Programs take place on weekday evenings and weekends and last for one to three hours, depending on the selected program. Volunteers would be asked to support a program, once per week, for one season. Alternatively, volunteers can join substitute lists to step in and lend a hand when needed!

Students interested in volunteering can visit www.canucksautism.ca/volunteer or send an email to volunteer@canucksautism.ca with any questions.  Please note that volunteers must be 16 years or older.
