Ask your teacher, counsellor, or administrator to nominate you!!

BC Cancer – Victoria’s  Deeley Research Centre is pleased to be able to offer the Xavier Pelletier High School Internship Program (HSIP) to Grade 11 students in southern Vancouver Island. This program provides students the opportunity to explore cancer research from the front lines, learning the latest techniques in the fight against cancer. During the summer between Grades 11 and 12, students will be responsible for an 8-week research project which they will develop and implement from start to finish with continual support from a designated supervisor and a team of research scientists. All secondary schools on Vancouver Island are eligible to nominate (two) Grade 11 students. Applications are reviewed by Deeley Research Centre researchers and the top nominees will be invited to participate in the 8-week HSIP summer program. On completion of the HSIP students will receive a $3,000 bursary toward post-secondary education.

For additional information about the program and application process please visit the HSIP website https://www.bccrc.ca/dept/drc/students-trainees
