Congratulations to the following students from Claremont: Riya Sood (Grade 11), Paolo Sotelo Henderson (Grade 12); Parkland: Jaden Waring (Grade 10)Stelly's: Abbie Backhaus (Grade 11), Kiara Hosie (Grade 11) & Koorosh Shamshiri  (Grade 12) who were chosen out of over 100 applications for the University of Victoria High TechU Pilot Project Commuter Science Skills Academy.  The High TechU Pilot Project is initiative of the UVic Department of Computer Science, developed in collaboration with members of the Greater Victoria technology and education sectors, which seeks to build our community through experiential learning opportunities for island youth.  Focused on developing in-demand skills in the next generation of innovators.  High TechU is about more than just coding; it's about empowering youth to build the diverse skills they need to succeed and thrive in the growing technology industry in Victoria and beyond.
