Floyd's Diner, home of the famous Mahoney, is hiring for the following kitchen positions & locations:
Brentwood Bay (6719 W Saanich Rd)
- 1 x Line Lead ($23 /hr)
- 1 x FT/PT Cook 1 ($21 / hr)
James Bay (332 Menzies St)
- 2 x FT Cook 1 ($21/hr)
- 1 x FT/PT Cook 2 ($19/hr)
Langford (721 Station Ave)
- 1 x FT/PT Cook 1 ($21 /hr)
Daily Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions provided by the head chef
- Cook food items according to established standards and plating guides
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with meal preparation and plating as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (Food Safe Level 1)
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills
