The DISTRICT OF CENTRAL SAANICH is seeking a Student Labourer Temporary, Roads & Drains Up to a 4-month term Engineering Department.

JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to Roads & Drains supervisor, the Student Labourer performs a variety of operational and maintenance tasks to support the District’s Roads & Drains systems. The Roads & Drains system includes infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, roadside vegetation, catch basins, culverts and drainage ditches.
The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program; have experience working with tools; have experience working as a member of a team; and possess a valid Driver’s licence – a Driver’s Abstract will be required, and novice “N” licence would be acceptable.

The hourly pay rate for this up to 4-month full time temporary (8 hours per day), position is $26.78
