It's amazing how we're already near the end of February. Admissions is in full swing and we're busy planning for the spring. As always, we’re here to help you with important resources, upcoming events, and admissions news. 

Admission Update

Admission offer rounds are starting to roll out. The first round of decisions was released late January and we're expecting to release another in the next couple of days. Please remind your students to continue checking their emails and logging into the Join U of T applicant portal (or the Engineering Applicant Portal) for updates.

Spring into U of T: March Events

Spring is just around the corner which means we have lots of sessions lined up! While applicants are waiting for their application decisions, this is also a great time for younger students to start exploring their options for their future. See below what we have planned in the coming months, including March break. 

Accessibility Services Information Sessions for Supporters

Learn about documentation requirements and accommodations for students with Learning Disabilities (LD), ADHD and ASD.

These online events are for high school educators, guidance counsellors and community partners who work with students with disabilities. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from Accessibility Services staff and ask questions.

Summer Opportunities 

DEEP Summer Academy

Organized by the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, DEEP offers a diverse range of pre-university engineering and science courses.

The Da Vinci Engineering Enrichment Program (DEEP) is designed for highly motivated high school students with an aptitude for science and math. DEEP provides students from around the world with the opportunity for advanced study in a variety of engineering, technology, business, and science disciplines.

Performing Arts & AI International Summer Program

Students can themselves in a dynamic learning environment where they will not only enhance their skills in the performing arts but also form lasting friendships with students from all corners of the globe. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology through courses in AI at U of T’s prestigious BMO Lab—one of the leading research hubs in the field. This program is designed for intermediate, advanced, and fluent English speakers, offering a supportive and engaging environment where you can refine your language skills while pursuing artistic excellence.

Youth Summer Programs

The Youth Summer Program (YSP) was established in 2008 and every summer students from across North America and around the world are offered an exclusive glimpse into the world of Medicine and Law. A unique modular-based format provides students with a diverse set of subject areas and flexibility. Students participate in the exploration of the respective fields, career opportunities, and what they should be thinking about and doing in high school to prepare themselves for post-secondary admission and education.

Teen Tech Summer Courses

Technology is shaping the future, and it’s never too early to start exploring its possibilities. The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, in collaboration with Circuit Stream, offers online tech courses for teens aged 13–18, providing a hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence, coding, game development, and game design. 

These programs are perfect for students who want to explore technology, turn their creativity into real projects, and develop skills that will set them up for future success.
