As your University of Victoria Student Recruitment Officer, I’m reaching out with new resources to support you!

As a reminder, applications for UVic’s September 2025 intake are available online now through EducationPlanner BC and the deadline to apply is January 31, 2025.

On-campus events 

November 30, 2024

Explore UVic is our largest on-campus open house of the year. It’s a great chance to experience UVic through sample lectures, student panels, tours, information fairs and more.

Our 2024 sample lectures will cover exciting topics like 3D bioprinting, climate change and even the global phenomenon known as Taylor Swift! The full schedule is now available here.


 

Virtual events

Monthly

Discover UVic will help prospective students learn about all that UVic has to offer. We’ll cover topics from campus life and housing to hands-on learning and how our campus supports students to succeed.

November 6 & 7, 2024

Adulting 101 is a financial literacy workshop for high school students that will help them prepare for university.*

November 14 & 20, 2024

AI 101 will introduce high school students to current and future impacts of AI in university and their careers.*

*Presented by UVic’s Gustavson School of Business

December 4, 2024

Parent Night will guide parents and guardians on how to help their students thrive in their first year of university, with a focus on strategies to navigate the transition from high school. Prospective students are welcome to join.

The Virtual BCom Info Session is for innovative and creative students who are considering a business degree. A top-ranked business school, students in the Gustavson BCom program graduate feeling confident about their future.

The HINF Virtual Open House will help students learn about becoming an expert in health informatics. With global changes and health care demands, the field is more important than ever.
