How to Apply during the Late Application Period

  • Do you have students who are graduating this year, who haven't applied to any schools but still want to start post-secondary in the Fall? Early application period may have passed but there is still an opportunity to come to Camosun for Fall 2024 by applying during the late application period*. Some programs with availability are our University Transfer programs, Associate Degree programs, Arts & Science Diploma, and some Trades. More information below.

*Depending on when the application is received, there may be reduced course availability.

Already Applied?

  • Ensure transcripts have been sent to Camosun using StudentTranscripts Service (STS).
  • Great time to start the practice of checking emails daily! Emails with important information will continue to roll in prior to beginning classes, some with time constraints/deadlines to act upon. Some information to look out for in these emails include accepting seat offers by paying the deposit, signing agreements, registration dates, and orientation information.
  • Take the liberty to favourite the Important Dates and Deadlines webpage and mark down important dates in your calendar to save yourself from future headaches! This page has important dates such as, tuition & fee payment deadlines, course add/drop deadlines, and the last day to withdraw without academic penalty.

Registering for Courses

Most students will be responsible for registering for their own courses prior to each term. One of the exceptions to this is students who are in a limited enrollment program. If students do not need to self register for their courses, they will be sent their course schedule instead of a registration date.

Check out the links below for the step-by-step process of a typical course registration process.

Programs with Availability

University Transfer

  • As mentioned in last months newsletter, our University Transfer option can be a great option for students who want to further discover their passions, fill in missing prerequisites for other post-secondary programs, or start out a bachelors degree.
  • Start by applying to University Transfer in one of our four disciplines: Art, Business, Education, or Science. If students decide to change their academic focus in the future, that's ok. Whichever discipline is chosen initially, students are welcome to select courses from any of the four categories, as long as you have the appropriate course prerequisites.

Associate Degrees

  • Associate degrees are a great way for students to start their educational journey. After completing the two year Associate Degree at Camosun, students often transfer their credits to another post-secondary to complete the final two years of a Bachelors Degree.
  • At Camosun, we offer multiple Associate Degrees in Arts and Science, many have transfer opportunities to UVic, Royal Roads University, Simon Fraser University. Some of which are complete block transfers. Check out the program webpages below for more information:
