Join us in Ottawa, to explore global issues and become a global ambassador!

Are you a student in grade 11 through second-year post-secondary in Canada? Join more than 4,000 youth who have come before you in attending this year’s NSCF. This year’s program will focus on Climate Change and will provide you with an opportunity to:

Explore our heritage and learn what unites us
Debate Canadian issues in the Canadian Senate
Engage with subject matter experts, and Members of Parliament
Meet with a diplomat of one of the 56 Commonwealth countries
Represent that country at a mock Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), hosted by Global Affairs Canada

At the end of the program, you will return to your community with new skills like public speaking, networking, and leadership. You will become a global ambassador and agent of change for a better world.

Join us in Ottawa and experience democracy in action. The Commonwealth promotes democracy, human rights, and sustainable development. A CHOGM resolution is consensus-based, outlining a path forward that is inclusive and supported by all Commonwealth countries and that considers their rich diversity.

“The Commonwealth makes the world safe for diversity.”

- Nelson Mandela
