At Uvic, we are once again doing two sessions of our popular workshop: Adulting 101: personal finance for students planning for college and university. This free online workshop has been very popular since we launched it, and if you're planning your post-secondary studies, we hope you can attend! The online session has two options: December 12th at 6:00 pm (PST), or December 13th at 9:00 am (PST). Parents, teachers and counsellors are welcome to join the session. It will be lead by Gustavson's finance lead, Dr. Michael King. Michael will be covering some key components like budgeting for your first year of education, how to establish your credit scores, and more. Ideal students are from grade 10-12, but grade 9's are also welcome.
Students can sign up on our website here. The registration button is below the description of our weekly info sessions for our BCom program. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Warmly,
Daniel
