There is an upcoming volunteer opportunity with the Greater Victoria Green Team, hosted in partnership with the The Land Conservancy of British Columbia!
On Saturday, October 14th (9:45 am – 1:00 pm), the Green Team (and you!) will be removing invasive plants such as English ivy from an important habitat protection area at 4394 Lochside Drive.

All ages, abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels are welcome! We will provide training, tools, and gloves for volunteers. There will also be delicious snacks!
These activities are a great opportunity for youth and community to spend time together outside, meet new people, learn new skills, and make a real difference in the community by taking care of nature. Giving back to these local habitat protection areas fosters an incredible sense of connection to the people and places involved, and we highly encourage participants to bring their families too!
This is also a great way to gain volunteer experience and the Green Team is happy to sign off on volunteer hours for anyone who needs them.
