|  | University of Toronto Scarborough | Students Can Get a Head Start with our Health Sciences Stream | Pursuing a career as a doctor, nurse, physical therapist, dentist, physician assistant, pharmacist, or other health-care professional is a big goal. U of T Scarborough’s Health Sciences stream is designed to prepare you for career success and provide a competitive advantage.
Alongside your Bachelor of Science degree, you will earn a unique certificate that will expand your knowledge and cultivate skills like leadership, communication, equity, and critical thinking—areas that are essential in health care. This certificate is open to domestic high school applicants only. International and/or transfer students can apply for the non-health sciences stream options.
The certificate can be paired with a co-op program which provides hands-on experience through paid co-op terms with some of the top hospitals, companies, and research institutes in the region, such as SickKids, CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health), University Health Network (UHN), and Baycrest. The Specialist (Joint) program in Music Industry and Technology aims to provide long-term career preparation by offering practical, career-oriented courses in music business and technology, as well as industry connections. |  | Faculty of Arts and Science | Explore the Colleges at the Faculty of Arts & Science | Every Faculty of Arts & Science student at the St. George campus belongs to a college – a friendly and supportive community of students and scholars. The college system dates back to U of T’s earliest days and is at the heart of the Arts & Science experience. Students can indicate their college preferences when they apply and many are unsure about which colleges to select. To help applicants and counsellors better understand the college system, the Faculty has developed a self-guided virtual tour of each of the seven colleges, where you can explore their unique spaces, histories, cultures and traditions, as well as the helpful services they offer. | Tour the colleges | Selecting College Preferences | We’ve updated the college membership process. Students will no longer be required to select their top three colleges on their Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) application; they will now have the option to select “no preference” instead. Students can still choose up to three colleges in order of preference, or they can select “no preference”. The “no preference” option will be available for choice one, two and three, allowing students to combine their college preferences with “no preference” for the remaining slot(s). Students are encouraged to research the colleges and consider factors like residence, membership size, scholarship opportunities and more before applying.

|  | Admissions Updates | Updates to English Language Requirements | There are a few updates to the tests or qualifications that we accept as evidence of English facility.
- The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic was added as an option to meet the English language requirement. The minimum requirement is an overall score of 65 with no part below 60.
- Our minimum requirement on the Duolingo English Test has been updated. The minimum requirement is now an overall score of 120, with no subscore below 100.
- The minimum requirement for TOEFL iBT is a total score of 89 with 22 in each of Speaking and Writing. Applicants must achieve the scores listed above on a single date. TOEFL MyBest (super-scored) results will not be used.
