Important Admissions Deadlines
June 1: Deadline to accept admission for most Okanagan campus programs
Keeping your Offer of Admission
To learn more about keeping an offer of admission with UBC, please visit this blog post: https://you.ubc.ca/applying-ubc/admitted/keep-offer/
International Study Permits

International students who are attending high school in Canada (and who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada) must obtain a post-secondary study permit to study at UBC. That will involve changing the conditions on their current permit. If your students will be coming to UBC from outside Canada, more guidance can be found on the coming from abroad page.

Orientation Programs
This summer, UBC is offering a series of orientation programs to help incoming students meet their first friends, get familiar with their new campus, and feel confident about starting university classes. Registration is now open for all programs.

Okanagan Campus:

Get started now on UBC 101, a series of free online modules with important information about on-campus services and course registration. Then register for Jump Start, a five-day, in-person academic orientation that takes place just before classes start in September.
Vancouver campus:

Refresh and build your academic skills in July and August with up to three free online courses in the Academic Essentials program. Then register for Jump Start, a five-day, in-person academic orientation that takes place just before classes start in September.

First Generation Student Union: Vancouver Campus

The First Generation Students Union (FGSU) strives to increase UBC’s efforts of equity and inclusion of students who face barriers in accessing education, and advocate for a sense of pride in being the first to attend university by creating a supportive community and fostering a sense of belonging on campus.

As a club, they are also concerned with the community perception of first generation and low- income college students. Therefore, they strive to demystify any stigma associated with the identity within the UBC community.
