The Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Heath is dedicated to advancing Indigenous people’s health through education, innovative thinking, research, and traditional practice. It will work to improve wellness, health care and patient outcomes, and promote self-determination that includes increasing Indigenous leadership in all aspects of health and health care. The UBC Summer Science program is back and now accepting applications! Know any nieces or nephews in Grade 9-12? Join our one week summer camp to gain valuable insight into future academic and career choices. You will make friends and memories that will last a lifetime! Learn from our Summer Science Elder(s) as well as the numerous program coordinators and workshop facilitators!

Congratulations to another wonderful Indigenous Public Health Institute!

Our students braved the cold and spent a week with us on UBC Vancouver campus to learn about Collecting, Analyzing and Using Public Health Data in Indigenous Communities and Indigenous Health Policy in Canada! A special congratulations to Dr. Kelly Soros and Paula Jacobs for completing the certificate with us!
