The CRD is looking for aquatic worker lifeguards to assist in the delivery of public aquatic programs. Must understand emergency procedures and be able to respond accordingly. Employees are expected to be knowledgeable of the aquatic facilities rules and regulations, and maintain a cooperative and positive relationship with the public.
Qualifications:
- Current National Lifeguard Award - Pool Option (NL) and/or current Water Safety Instructor Award (WSI)
- Current Lifesaving Society Airway Management and Oxygen Administration certification is an asset
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Familiar with emergency procedures and to respond accordingly
- Knowledge of the aquatic facilities rules and regulations
- Ability to work independently with general supervision in a relatively structured environment
