A message to schools from UAlberta:

With the 2022/2023 school year underway, we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Engineering Fem+ Mentorship Program and its call for applications that is open until September 30th, 2022.

Are you a student who loves mathematics and science, but may not be considering engineering, are unsure about it, or could benefit from an engineering student mentor? We have a flexible online or in-person opportunity for you!

The Fem+ Engineering Mentorship Program is a 7-month program for high school students who are women, feminine-presenting or identifying, and non-binary, that are interested in exploring all the possibilities within the STEM fields, including engineering! With FEM+ students will:

  • Be mentored by a current student in the engineering program

  • See what university is like, what engineering is like, and whether it is good fit

  • Meet others interested in engineering through Discord Q&As and social events

Feel free to contact us with any questions at femprog@ualberta.ca. We look forward to connecting with you soon.

Kind Regards,
