The Peninsula Country Market is looking for volunteers for Saturday
mornings, starting June 4, from 8:45 - 1:00 pm.
The market runs from June 4 - Thanksgiving. You would not be
required to work every week.
The official title of the volunteers is Market Ambassador and the duties include:
- Greeting patrons and reminding them of the market rules such as social distancing.
- Supervising and educating the patrons on recycling/composting
- Answering general questions
- Selling produce bags
- Handing out complimentary shopping bags
- Managing the Market Bucks contest
- Handing out The Farmers Market Nutritional Coupons to designated patrons
- Assisting Market Manager and Volunteer Coordinator when required
A team of 3 people are scheduled at every market, so that volunteers can take breaks and not be left standing for the full shift.
