Spring might be taking a bit longer to come this year but, we're continuing to evaluate and send out offers of admission. Here are the latest UBC updates.

| Beyond Tomorrow Scholars and Centennial Scholars Awards Successful applicants for the Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Award and Centennial Scholars Entrance Award will be notified by May 15, 2022. Only successful award applicants will be contacted. Students who have been admitted with a first-round offer will be contacted before May 1 (the deadline to accept their offer of admission).
Presidential Scholars Award | Grade 12 Literary Assessment requirements | The Ministry of Education has now confirmed that the April and June sittings of the Grade 12 Literary Assessment will go ahead as planned, and your students will need to take this exam.
The Grade 12 Literary Assessment is an important condition of your students’ offer and they must try to do their best on the test. However, UBC understands that your students have faced uncertainty and challenges during their most important years at school, and that this stress can affect their exam results.
When we review their application and final grades, including the results of the Grade 12 Literary Assessment, we will do so with great care and sensitivity. In the event that they do not achieve a score of “Proficient” on the exam, we will take these disruptions into account when reviewing their final standing. | |

March 14 – May 27 (online)
We know your students may have received offers from multiple universities, and that they are in the process of deciding which to choose. Destination UBC is the best way for admitted students to find out what makes UBC such a vibrant place to live, play, and study. Over three months, our selection of virtual events and informative sessions will help to prepare students for life at UBC. | | Your students aged 15 to 18 can get a head start on their academic goals with the UBC Future Global Leaders program. This pre-university program is a great way for your students to work out what their passions are while they’re still in high school, and prepare for success at university and beyond by studying a popular course without the stress of exams. Students can attend either online courses that last three weeks or join us on campus in Vancouver, for two-week courses (that combine morning classes, afternoon workshops, and fun social activities). Future Global Leaders runs on various dates in July and August. |

NEW AT UBC ✨: Civil Engineering at UBC Okanagan |
| Are your students interested in how to apply science and math to shape the world around them? In Civil Engineering at UBC Okanagan, they’ll build a solid foundation from the ground up – from soil mechanics and substructure engineering to the design of buildings, roads, and transportation networks; river and flood management systems; construction management and law; environmental engineering (water and wastewater networks and treatment plants, air pollution, and waste management), and more. | | As always, do not hesitate to get in touch if you or your students have any questions. |
