Each year, students in the Comics & Graphic Novels Certificate program at Camosun College complete their studies by crafting their own comic books. This marks a significant milestone in their artistic journey, and the culmination of their hard work is celebrated at the highly anticipated Camosun Comic Arts Festival (CCAF).
In 2025, CCAF promises to be bigger and better than ever before, bringing together students, professionals, and fans to celebrate the vibrant world of comics and graphic novels. It's a unique opportunity to witness the creative process up close, experience the storytelling power of comics, and dive into the exciting conversations around this dynamic art form.
What to expect at CCAF 2025:
- Student showcases: Students will proudly display their completed comic books alongside other work they've developed throughout the program. It’s your chance to see firsthand the incredible talent and creativity of up-and-coming comic artists.
- Professional guest creators: The festival will feature renowned comic book professionals who will share their experiences, offer insights into the industry, and participate in discussions with attendees.
- Comics, prints, and original artwork for sale: Whether you’re a collector or just starting your comic journey, you’ll have the chance to purchase unique pieces directly from both students and professional creators.
